What we do:
  1. Complete all State Required paperwork (so you don't have to)
  2. Create and submit all training reports to the state
  3. Coordinate and schedule all training sessions
About ETP: The Employment Training Panel (ETP) provides funding to employers to assist in upgrading the skills of their workers through training that leads to good-paying, long-term jobs. The ETP was created in 1982 by the California State Legislature and is funded by California employers through a special payroll tax. ETP has a tripartite governing structure, with appointed Panel members representing business, unions, and state government. The ETP is a funding agency, not a training agency. Businesses determine their own training needs and how to provide training. ETP staff is available to assist in applying for funds and other aspects of participation.

Coalition of North County Leaders Launch Initiative to Strengthen Regional Workforce Pipeline
SOCAL initiative connects industry and education partners to bridge the gap between job explorers and their future careers
Student Opportunities for Career Awareness and Learning (SOCAL) drives economic empowerment by elevating student awareness of career and educational opportunities across multiple industries and provides a forum for students to take meaningful steps towards participation in the workforce of tomorrow. 

SOCAL is a collaborative program between education and industry created by Tri-City Medical Center, the San Diego North Economic Development Council and Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, Greater Escondido, San Marcos and Encinitas Chambers of Commerce. The vision is to give middle school, high school, post-secondary students and transitioning adults an opportunity to gain insights into career pathways, while allowing businesses and local organizations to participate in these students’ career exploration.​

We have partnered with a wide array of interested stakeholders including school districts, CTE’s, colleges, universities, career training institutions, businesses, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations and community members to make this a reality. Through this collaboration we aim to provide one place to host resources available to our community. 

The Oceanside Chamber's Rising Star Program aims to champion students that have overcome significant challenges in their while managing to keep on track with their education. The Chamber honors one high school senior each month from each of our area high schools at a breakfast event. These amazing students are each given the opportunity to share their stories of resilience and persistence.

At the end of the school year, all students that have been recognized are invited to apply for scholarships through the Oceanside Chamber Foundation. Scholarships range from $1,000 - $5,000 per student to assist in funding a 2-4 year post-secondary education or certification program. Scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated commitment to pursue higher education. 

The Rising Star events are open to all educators, family members of students being honored, Chamber Board Members, business leaders, community members and event sponsors. All donations to the Rising Star Scholarships are tax deductible through the Oceanside Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3).

The Oceanside Chamber's Job Board includes a space for employers to list their open positions, job seekers to upload their resumes, and a new space featuring helpful resources for applicants, businesses, and organizations.
