Surfing is one of the most popular activities in Oceanside. With almost a 4 mile span of beautiful Southern California beaches, Oceanside is one of the most popular surfing destinations on the West Coast. Surfers of all abilities can find a home here. During the summer months beginner surfers can take a lesson at one of the many surf shops located along the coast lines. 

However for more advanced surfers, the best swells tend to hit Oceanside in the colder, winter months. It’s pretty common in the winter months to see swells that are well above the height of an average man, commonly called “over head" swells. 

No matter what level of surfer you are, or what length of surfboard you ride, Oceanside is one of the best places to surf in Southern California.
