Studio ACE Selected by GlobalGiving As Red Backpack Fund Recipient, Receives $5,000 Grant From The Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation To Combat COVID-19 Crisis

July 20, 2020 — GlobalGiving announced today that Studio ACE has been selected to receive a $5,000 COVID-19 relief and recovery grant from The Red Backpack Fund, an opportunity for small businesses and nonprofits made possible by The Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation.
“My hope is that this gift will help alleviate some of the pressures caused by this horrible pandemic. Twenty years ago, I started Spanx with $5,000 in savings, and I see this as a time to pay it forward. Small business is the backbone of our culture. I know what it’s like to be a small business owner, and I want to provide some relief to these entrepreneurs during this time,” said Spanx Founder Sara Blakely.

(Oceanside, CA) November 12, 2019—Oceanside Theatre Company (OTC), the resident professional theater company at the Historic Brooks Theater, has collaborated with Boys and Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) for the first time to bring the benefits of theater arts to local youth. This free 9-week OTC Youth Outreach program for Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside members, ages 5-17, culminates in four performances for family, friends and the general public at the Brooks Theater, home to the Oceanside Theatre Company.

Oceanside Theatre Company Opens Season with Family Centered Production, Foxfire, October 11 at the Brooks Theater

(Oceanside, CA) September 27, 2019— Oceanside Theatre Company (OTC), the resident professional theatre company at the Historic Brooks, will open its season with an enriching production centered on family and its perseverance through adversity. After engaging audiences at Scripps Ranch Theatre last month, Foxfire, by Hume Croyn and Susan Cooper, moves up to OTC to share the power of family and history with the community at the Brooks Theater from October 11-27— each Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Tickets are available for $15 - $29 online or by calling the box office at 760-433-8900. Season tickets are now available.

The event will take place in the Oceanside Civic Center Plaza, located downtown at 330 N. Coast Highway in Oceanside’s Cultural District, from 12:00 noon to 6:30 p.m. Event admission is free and open to the public.
